1. What cookies and local storage are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser to remember something between pages or visits — for example, that you are signed in. Local storage is a similar browser feature: data saved on your device that websites can read back, but which is not automatically sent with every request. This policy covers both, and forms part of our Privacy Policy.

2. How Book Funduq uses them

We follow a minimal approach: we set only what is needed for the Platform to function and to remember choices you make. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles, and we do not currently use any third-party analytics or marketing cookies. Because everything we set is either strictly necessary or a preference you actively choose (like your display currency), the Platform does not need to interrupt you with a cookie-consent banner; if we ever introduce non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

4. Third-party services

• Payment — when you pay, the secure payment component is served by our payment service provider and may set its own strictly necessary cookies or storage for payment security, 3-D Secure authentication and fraud prevention. See the payment service provider's own privacy and cookie documentation for details.
• Sign in with Google — if you choose to sign in with Google, Google processes that sign-in under its own policies. We receive only your basic account identity.
• Maps — interactive maps are provided by our map provider, which may use local storage for technical operation of the map. We have disabled optional telemetry where the provider allows it.

5. Managing cookies and local storage

You can delete or block cookies and clear local storage at any time in your browser settings (usually under Privacy or Site data). Note that deleting strictly necessary items has direct effects: clearing the session cookie signs you out, and clearing preferences resets your language and currency to defaults. Because we set no non-essential cookies, there is nothing further to opt out of.
